It started as a nightmare for any Loudoun County maternity photographer. The weather predicted a sunny day all week, so I sent my confirmation email as I usually would (complete with my new “What to Wear” guide – yay!). But with each passing day, the chance for rain increased. It was raining hard the night before, and mom even emailed me and asked if we should reschedule. “Not yet,” I reply. “The weather app says it will be done before morning.”
Wrong. It rained all night and well into the morning, and since we were booked for 8am, we moved our session to that afternoon…and it literally rained right up until the minute we arrived at Morven Park. Then, like magic, the skies cleared and we were treated to a beautiful and unseasonably warm day. We were in full sun but it was no match for the light that emulated from this couple. Totally in tune with one another and in love with the new life they are preparing to bring into the world. Plus, anybody with a wedding song by Green Day is my kind of people 😉
So tell me when it’s time
To say “I love you”
