This family and I, we go way back. Like, 5 years as their Northern Virginia family photographer. I can still remember the first time I took pictures of them, just big brother at the baseball diamond near my house. And then baby brother was my very first newborn session!
Funny story about this location – I didn’t know it existed. OK, that’s not entirely true. I knew it existed because one of my super talented friends shoots there a lot. But I didn’t know where it was. We stumbled upon it by accident because it had rained the night before and was so cloudy that morning that the ground was soaking wet. We needed an area with concrete and not dirt. So we met up near the mansion at Morven Park (where I’m thrilled to be a preferred photographer!) and started walking. Sometimes that’s how the best things happen, when you’re least expecting them. This session is definitely my favorite to date for this family and one of my favorites ever.
