Northern Virginia senior photographer for bold, modern portraits

Senior year isn’t just special. It’s a main-character moment.

Your high school senior portraits should feel like a reflection, not a performance. This is about capturing who you are right now, right before everything changes: confident, evolving, and becoming more yourself by the day.

We’ll be a great fit if you want a personalized experience and photos that feel real. You’re not here to fit into a mold. You’re here to break it.

Investing in High School Senior Portraits

The creative retainer is $1200 and includes:

  • 45-minute location-inspired photo session
  • 40 thoughtfully edited high-resolution digital images
  • Unlimited outfit changes, multiple locations
  • All of the magic before, during, and after that goes into making this a fun and memorable experience!

What To Expect

Step 1

Send me an email so I know you're ready. I’ll send you a link to my availability with a “getting to know you” questionnaire and a service agreement (all the fine print). Once you sign the contract and pay your retainer, you're all set!

Step 2

Based on your questionnaire, I’ll suggest some locations and we can talk about your vision for the vibe of your photos. You only need to worry about your clothes, the rest of the planning is taken care of. Need help with what to wear? Just text me, I’m happy to help as much as you need so you feel confident.

Step 3

I’ll check in a few days before your session to make sure you're all set. During the shoot, we’ll keep things relaxed: music on, laughs happening, and zero pressure. Bring a friend if you want, or just hang out with me. Either way, it’s fun and comfortable from start to finish.

Step 4

Your photos will be ready within 2 weeks. Viewing and downloading are done conveniently via a private online gallery.

A note for parents: There are a lot of babies on my website. You might wonder how you ended up here, looking for senior portraits when your baby is still just that. I get it. I'm here to ensure this is a stress-free experience for you both.

Let's connect! I would love to be your baby's senior portrait photographer.

Questions & Answers

When should I schedule my senior portraits?

I recommend scheduling your session at least 3 months in advance to ensure availability, especially during the busy spring and fall seasons. If you have a specific deadline for yearbook submissions, be sure to book early to allow enough time for editing and delivery. In terms of season, that is entirely up to you! There is no right or wrong time, as long as it matches your vibe.

Where will the session take place?

Your high school senior portraits can be held at an outdoor location, such as a park, urban setting, or any spot that holds special meaning for you. Have a horse and a barn you love? I’ll meet you there. Bookworm energy? The library works. There are no rules here about what this session has to look like. We can do the session at your home or a mix of locations to capture a variety of looks.

What if I don't know how to pose?

No one knows how to pose! My job as your senior portrait photographer is to guide you with prompts that feel natural so you feel confident and not awkward. I promise!

Can I bring props?

Absolutely! Props like sports equipment, musical instruments, books, or anything that celebrates your hobbies and personality are encouraged. Love music? Bring your instrument. Don't forget your cap & gown, if you have them! I also love animals so if you want to bring your dog/snake/chinchilla, the answer is yes, please. These are your senior portraits, and this session should wholly reflect who you are.

How many outfits can I wear?

How fast can you get changed? Your session is 45mins, so however many you can change into in that time! I would try to limit to 2 just so you have plenty of time in each outfit for a variety of images. I recommend choosing a mix of casual, formal, and personal styles to showcase different sides of your personality.

Can you fix my teeth/acne/etc?

Yes and yes. Please let me know if there is something specific you're worried about so I can be aware during the session as well as afterwards while editing.

What Clients Are Saying

Blaire does a beautiful job capturing the essence of the families she photographs. I cried (happy tears) at every image she sent me. She is a lot of fun to work with and communicates thoroughly throughout the process. She thinks outside the box to capture remarkable images.
