Several weeks ago I attended the long-awaited Amy Cook Photography newborn posing workshop at the lovely SnapSpace Studios in Manassas.
I have been following her work for YEARS, long before I had ever dreamed of offering posed newborn sessions, and when she started teaching in-person workshops around the country I jumped at the chance. An added bonus was the 4 other awesome photographers that were there, who I so enjoyed getting to know and going through this process with! We bounced ideas off each other, talked about our businesses, and discussed our mutual passion for custom photography. I am so grateful for the 10 hours we worked together getting an intense, hands-on training to safely pose newborns.
My newborn sessions will still be in your home and largely lifestyle-focused and natural, because incorporating who you are and what your family is about into the photos is what makes my heart sing. But I am thrilled to be able to include a touch of posed adorableness into the photos as well!
I am so excited to share some of my favorite images and a few behind the scenes shots. Another huge thank you to Amy and Rachel (who owns SnapSpace) for having us.
