Here we are, a week into 2020. Let’s take a look back on my top 60 photos taken in 2019 as an Ashburn photographer. I love doing this each year because it’s deeply humbling and also encouraging. I started this compilation by saying I’d do my top 50, which became my top 75, and ultimately narrowed down to 60. It really forced me to look objectively at my work, to compare them to each other, and compare them to where I am now. Still, a few made it in simply because I love them.
Because we spent a significant amount of time traveling this year, most of my favorites are from those adventures and not from client work (so please please please don’t be offended if you don’t see your photos in here!) I’m honestly surprised at the number of landscapes in this list, but they also deepen the sense of adventure 2019 had in store for us. We traveled to Paris and we relocated to Florida for 2 months Included are photos from my personal and professional work as an Ashburn photographer; including children, family, pets, breastfeeding, and travel photography.
