Warning: this is going to be a looooong post.
Last Sunday I took on my last four clients of 2014. This is bittersweet for me because I will miss 2014 and all of its whirlwind excitement. More, though, I am anxiously looking forward to 2015 for many reasons – one being that Second Ave Photography was nominated for Best of Loudoun and winners will be announced in January. It is such a huge honor to even be nominated, but I would be so appreciative if you would think of me when you’re casting your votes.
Second Ave Photography will be at Old Mill Veterinary Clinic for their annual Holiday Open House this Saturday. I am SO excited to be offering a pet photo booth, and for just a $10 donation to their rescue partners will include a 4×6 professional print!
Back to Sunday. Each of the four sessions was one of my new Winter Minis that I will be offering through February. They are discounted, shorter sessions which will generally take place at Morven Park in Leesburg. For this first session, we met at my clients home. She had a friend request a session immediately after hers which worked out perfectly. The property is just amazing, and she graciously welcomes me every time I get a crazy idea in my head (like my very first round of minis ever.) Both families were picture-perfectly adorable, filled with easy laughs and fun.

Later that day, I moved to Morven Park for two more sessions. I swear, I don’t think I’ve ever laughed so hard in a day. The first group introduced me to what is probably my new favorite spot; Mom had driven past it a few times and had often wondered about what a session there would be like, so we thought, why not? I met the second group through our local Macaroni Kid group. If you’re a parent in the Loudoun County area and you don’t subscribe to their newsletter, you should. They put together valuable information about what’s going on around LoCo, local reviews, giveaways, kid-approved recipes, etc. Please tell them I sent you 🙂
