Of all of the different things I shoot, one of my favorites is a public breastfeeding session. With the Public Breastfeeding Awareness Project officially over, I find it just as important as ever to spread this message of positivity and empowerment to moms. How to feed your baby should be one of the easiest decisions you make, but it isn’t. I was both a formula mom and an exclusively breastfeeding mom. I can tell you the message of “you’re doing it wrong” happens on both sides. So my goal in continuing to offer breastfeeding photos in Northern Virginia isn’t to shame anyone, but to empower everyone. However you choose to feed your baby, be it breast or bottle or both, feel confident that you are making the best choice for your baby. And until we can all feed our babies the best way we know how, I will be offering breastfeeding photos. Probably after that too because this is such a special relationship that deserves to be celebrated. Don’t get me wrong, though. I will totally take pictures of you with a bottle too 😉
And with that, I am so proud to share these photos of Emma and her beautiful son at Target. Target has a pro-breastfeeding policy, and I am happy to support them.
If you’re chest or breastfeeding in Northern Virginia, I would love to talk to you about planning your breastfeeding photo session!
