I met the beautiful M family through Preemie Prints, as a Northern Virginia Volunteer NICU Graduate photographer. This sweet girl gave her parents quite the scare when she arrived at 35 weeks and was sent to the NICU due to respiratory distress. Baby E needed the CPAP and a feeding tube in the beginning, and had jaundice and brady spells throughout her stay. Her NICU case manager arranged for her parents to stay at the Ronald McDonald House, which was a huge relief for them as they lived over 30 miles away from the hospital. Luckily, all of her levels became stable and she was able to be discharged under 2 weeks later! At the time of our session, Baby E was 13 months old and doing wonderfully.
Working with Preemie Prints allows me to offer my photography services completely for free to families with babies in the NICU or recent NICU graduates. For more information on these sessions, please email blaire@secondavephotography.com
