project 52 of 2013 | soft focus

Our challenge this week was “soft focus.” Admittedly, even by the best photographers this is probably my least favorite style because it sort of looks like a mistake made on purpose, but I guess that’s the beauty of photography. I achieved the look using a filter in PhotoShop called Make Dreamy by Everyday Elements, though I’ve read that you can buy actual lenses to do this.

I took these images during our trip to Harper’s Ferry today. The dreamy look is kind of growing on me.

Next, please hop over to Michele and check out her “soft focus” image.
