This was one of those sessions that makes you truly appreciate how important my “job” is. Grandma was diagnosed with terminal cancer, and the purpose of this session was to document the immense love this family shares and preserve these moments for them. I was so humbled to have been asked to do this.
It is obvious that her granddaughter is the center of her world – a relationship I immediately recognized, as someone who was (and is still) close to her grandparents. I couldn’t be more thankful for the opportunity to have those relationships and still cherish the memories I have with them, as I know this little girl will. There was also cause to celebrate: Mom is expecting Baby #2 almost any day now! (Though hopefully not in her bathroom…but that is a story for another day.)
I usually have a lot of fun at my sessions but this group was a blast. Equally sarcastic and with a more dark sense of humor like myself, there was a lot of laughing in this part of Morven Park that evening.
Special thanks to Laurie from LCE Photography for lending me an amazing chair!
