For me, being a Northern Virginia newborn photographer means capturing all of the “in-between” moments. The ones that make up your whole story.
This family is one of my favorites. Mama is the talented photographer behind Fluttering Shutter Photography and one of my closest friends. Her fourth baby came into this world six weeks early, and I could not wait to get over there and photograph her! This bunch is the perfect example of how fun a lifestyle newborn session can be. I love the images of Dad being silly with the older kids in the background, while mom and the middle-youngest have a peaceful moment with Baby. This is what being a family of six is all about, right?
I’m just going to say it: I love newborn sessions. I love the newness, the squishiness, the warmth. I love the love. The quiet moments of “awe” and the louder giggles from older siblings taking a fun selfie with dad. My job is to capture all of it so you can remember them for years to come. Your job is to love on your new baby, maybe enjoy a cup of coffee, and take comfort in having an experienced extra set of hands as needed for baby snuggling.
