In another life, my then-fiancée and I lived in a lovely apartment in Fairfax VA. It was only two years before we moved out to Loudoun County and started our lives as a married couple. I always relish opportunities to go back and check out our old stomping grounds.
I was invited to photograph the gorgeous Baby A (who arrived a few days past her due date and had absolutely perfect skin) and her two fur-brothers. I’m already a rescue dog lover. But these two totally stole my heart. They are already so bonded to their new sister and kept a close eye on her, but still made sure they gave me their good side! These guys are exactly what makes a lifestyle newborn session so special. How else would you capture this special and developing relationship?
These sweet new parents also incorporated some very sentimental elements into their session: a quilt by dad’s great aunt and a bassinet built by mom’s grandfather – that she used to sleep in!
