Long Island Aquarium | New York Photographer

If there is one thing I could photograph forever and never get tired of it, it’s underwater at the aquarium. I think I must have been a mermaid in a past life. I love pretty much every aquarium I go to, but we try to get to the Long Island Aquarium a couple of times a year because it’s one of my favorites. On the smaller side and easy to manage with the kids, but packed with fun, featuring traditional aquarium attractions, an incredible shark exhibit, a huge butterfly room where they dance around you (one landed on my head this trip!), a bird room, and a million other activities such as seal shows and opportunities to hold some of the animals. On this particular visit the aquarium was fairly quiet, and the animals were even more lively; my kids ended up having a magical experience with the seals at the end that I can’t wait to show you!
