Omigosh, I don’t even know where to begin telling the story of this amazing family. They drove all the way out from Maryland to have their session at Morven Park in Leesburg, VA. There are so many beautiful spots for a Northern Virginia maternity photographer to choose from. Morven is one of my absolute favorites and that’s why I maintain a membership to shoot there. We got backdrops ranging from brick paths to tall evergreens to rolling hills offering an opportunity for gorgeous silhouettes against the fiery sky leftover from the earlier rain.
What a dream it was to work with this family. Big Sister H is obviously the light of their lives but I think the new baby is the light of hers! She was so interested in Mom’s bump and seemed content in that we were celebrating her just as much as baby sister. Mom was worried they would need a lot of posing but I did so little. I love how genuine this family is with each other – so happy to be together, to be completely entranced by the lives they are creating, and the life they are building together.
I can’t wait to photograph their newborn session in just a few months!
